Catarina Cline is a senior at Ohio University studying Child and Family Studies, hailing from Medina, Ohio. She is completing an internship at Athens CASA in Spring 2022.
What brought you to work for CASA?
I am a student at Ohio University and my major is in Child and Family Studies. I started my 75 hour practicum Spring semester and chose to do it at CASA. I chose CASA because I find the court aspect of child services very interesting and I am looking forward to the experience.
Why is CASA important?
CASA is important because oftentimes the best interest of a child can be overlooked due to the nature of court, however CASA ensures this does not happen.
What do you do outside of CASA?
I love to hike, cook, walk my dog, play the ukulele and hang with my friends.
How do you wind down? Any self care tips?
I always set aside time to take my dog for a walk in the evening and unwind while getting some exercise in.
What is one thing people may not know about you?
I joined the Air National Guard at 18 right out of highschool prior to coming to OU.
What is something interesting you learned recently?
I learned that “when you’re young everything feels like it’s the end of the world, but it’s not; it’s just the beginning” -Zac Efron
