About the event

Here is some information about Aliyah Thacker,

"I have been employed at Athens County Children Services since 2018, originally working as a family services caseworker and now serving in the role of Case Review Coordinator.  I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Child & Family Studies with a concentration in Child, Adult, & Family.  I have previous internship experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Athens County and the Victim Assistance Program with the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office.  My role at ACCS is to coordinate, schedule, and facilitate all case reviews at the agency along with other meetings with youth, staff, clients, and external providers.  I also serve as a mentor for caseworkers and assist in case audits, documentation, and quality assurance.”

Objectives

  1. Participants will gain a better understanding of the multiple types of meetings and reviews, including respective guidelines and intended outcomes, at Athens County Children Services.

This training has been partially funded through a contract between Ohio CASA and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. OHIO CASA supports local CASA/GAL programs throughout Ohio with training, technical assistance, legislative support, and standards implementation so volunteers may advocate for abused, neglected, and dependent children in the court system.
