About this Session: Join us as we learn more about the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office implementation of the Ohio Fresh Start program as an alternative approach to drug-related offenses by increasing treatment opportunities while still protecting the public. As part of the Community Justice umbrella the prosecutor’s office also offers a Vivitrol Program, Re-entry support, the Athens County Empowerment Program, and Parent Support Group.
About the Presenter: Becky Filar, Director of Community Justice and Co-Director of Victim Assistance, has worked with the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office since 2013 in various roles. She currently supervises defendants on the Athens County Empowerment Program, Vivitrol Program, supports victims of felony crimes and also organizes the monthly Parent Support Group. Becky also serves on the board of the Athens County Child Advocacy Center and is a proud supporter of Athens CASA.
