Athens CASA has been operating since 1993. The local program is part of a larger network of CASA programs all around Ohio and the United States. Athens CASA has been recognized as a leader within Ohio. Recently the Athens CASA Director, Jenny Stotts, was selected to take on a role throughout Southeast Ohio to support new and developing CASA programs, through a partnership with the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Ohio CASA Association.

The Athens CASA/GAL Program has also been in the national spotlight, having been invited to present at back to back National CASA Association Conferences featuring training initiatives developed locally.

Athens CASA has also been recognized for innovative and creative recruitment practices, having more than tripled the volunteer roster in just a few short years.

Jenny Stotts

Jenny has served as the CASA Director since 2013. She is a licensed social worker and worked in direct services child protection prior to joining the CASA team. Her background is in forensic interviewing and crisis intervention. In 2016, she was selected to serve as a Regional Resource to CASA programs all around Southeast Ohio. She speaks publicly about child abuse and neglect; adoption and supporting adopted and foster children. She serves on several boards and service organizations including Kids on Campus, Athens Sunrise Rotary, the Alexander PTO and Autism Speaks. In her spare time, she hangs out with her family, loves being outside and enjoys cheering on her boys at their various sporting events and races. She is pictured here with her family on Autism Awareness Day.
